Getting into a cart race & crashīut I feel like I must be missing something because I'm asking myself "Who Cares?" about all of these events and details. Helping Thecla kill herself, being banished. So far I'm keeping up with the literal events of the story. Has anyone here read TSOTT and would care to answer a few questions for me? Yes, Name Of The Wind doesn't have book 3 yet, but I honestly don't believe the author can write anything to make it all pay off.
Both of these were far too long for the story they contained. It also reminds me of The Name of the Wind (which I did finish) and Anathem (which I did finish). I've DNF'd quite a few books, and TSOTT reminds me of some of them. I reached out to the redditor who suggedted the book to me but he/she hasn't replied. I was recommended The Shadow of the Torturer by Gene Wolfe in r/suggestmeabook and I'm 23 chapters (out of 35) into the book.
